Results of QC

A total of 43 profiles (1374 data, reported by BATHY or TESAC) were received from the NORTHEWEST SANDERLING.

Summary of QC

Some erroneous profiles are detected by JMA's automated quality control procedures. These are checked by the regional range test.
There were differences above 2°C between the results of assimilation and a profile data observed at depths of between 50 and 300m in the seas south from 10°N. It's to be noted that the results of assimilation is considered to be less accurate in the marginal seas.
With the exception of the above errors and differences, there were no significant biases in comparison with the results of assimilation by JMA.
