The results of JMA quality control are as follows.
  • Grounded test
  • Error data: 0 of 675

  • Position on land test
  • On land: 0 of 32

    Invalid position: 0 of 32

  • Regional range test
  • Error data (low): 0 of 675

Error data (high): 0 of 675

  • Gradient test
  • Error data: 0 of 675

For details of JMA's quality control procedures, please refer to this page.

Summary of QC

  • QC detected no unnatural profiles.
  • There were large differences between observation data and the results of assimilation in areas near the Kuroshio front (around 32°N).
