Monthly data --- chart/table

Note: The Shionomisaki surface observation site was relocated on 17 November 2011. In this connection, climate normals for monthly mean temperatures at the Shionomisaki site were updated. Accordingly, monthly mean temperatures and monthly means of daily maximum/minimum temperatures for the period before October 2011 at the site are not shown in the ClimatView. The climate normals for monthly total precipitation amounts remain the same after the relocation.

Detailed historical monthly data in Japanese stations are available at: Historic Monthly Values

Note) Background colors of the Standardized Precipitation Indices (SPIs) cell in the table are changed in accordance with the degree of dryness only when the values become below -1.0. It is noted that the SPI value with -9999 (9999) will be displayed in the case of extreme low (high) precipitations where occurrence frequencies of such event are significantly small during a certain period. "Occurrence frequencies are significantly small" means cumulative probability equals zero (one) or is very close to zero (one).
