Seasonal Highlights
Seasonal mean temperatures were significantly above normal in northern and western Japan, and Okinawa/Amami. Seasonal sunshine durations were also significantly above normal in northern, eastern and western Japan. In particular, northern Japan and the Sea of Japan side from eastern to western Japan experienced record-long seasonal sunshine durations for spring since 1946. Seasonal precipitation amounts were significantly below normal on the Sea of Japan side of northern Japan.
