Information on CO2 Intercomparison Results

The Eleventh WMO/IAEA Meeting of Experts on Carbon Dioxide Concentration and Related Tracer Measurement Techniques held in Tokyo, Japan, from 25 to 28 September 2001 recommended that the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) would establish a web site where intercomparison results and data are deposited by participating laboratories, or where pointers to such data are maintained, documenting and interpreting systematic measurement problems and artefacts.
Following this recommendation, JMA has established this web site in cooperation with participating laboratories to enable the sharing of necessary information among CO2 measuring laboratories. It is hoped that the site will also be utilized by relevant experts and other users of CO2 measurement data produced under the WMO Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) and other international programmes and provided through international data centres such as the World Data Centre for Greenhouse Gases (WDCGG).
As recommended by the Meeting, all participating laboratories are strongly urged to contribute the results of all systematic investigations of gas handling protocols and materials, whether the results were positive or negative. Please note that some of the content of this web site (such as the preliminary results of intercomparison) is protected, and is only available to the Meeting participants. Please contact the participating laboratories directly in regard to such content.
