Results of QC

A total of 42 profiles (941 data, reported by BATHY or TESAC) were received from the KEIFU MARU.
The results of JMA quality control are as follows.
  • Grounded test
  • Error data: 0 of 941

  • Position on land test
  • On land: 0 of 42

    Invalid position: 0 of 42

  • Regional range test
  • Error data (low): 0 of 941

Error data (high): 0 of 941

  • Gradient test
  • Error data: 0 of 941

Summary of QC

  • QC detected no unnatural profiles.
  • At depths of between 40 and 350 m in areas around 33°N, there were dfferences above 2°C between observation data and the results of assimilation. The observation data showed sharper thermocline than the assimilation data.
