A total of 41 profiles (919 data, reported by BATHY or TESAC) were received from the RYOFU MARU III.

Summary of QC

QC detected no unnatural profiles.
There were large differences between observation data and the results of assimilation in areas near the Kuroshio front (around 33°N).
At depths of between 140 and 260 m in areas south of 5°N, there were differences above 2°C between observation data and the results of assimilation. The observation data showed sharper thermocline than the assimilation data.
