Results of QC

A total of 20 profiles (757 data, reported by BATHY or TESAC) were received from the NORTHEWEST SANDERLING.
The results of JMA quality control are as follows.
  • Grounded test
  • Error data: 0 of 757

  • Position on land test
  • On land: 0 of 20

    Invalid position: 0 of 20

  • Regional range test
  • Error data (low): 0 of 757

Error data (high): 0 of 757

  • Gradient test
  • Error data: 0 of 757

For details of JMA's quality control procedures, please refer to this page.

Summary of QC

  • QC detected no unnatural profiles.
  • At depths of between 60 and 340 m in areas south of 8°N, there were differences above 2°C between observation data and the results of assimilation. The observation data showed sharper thermocline than the assimilation data.
