Results of QC

A total of 26 profiles (569 data, reported by BATHY or TESAC) were received from the KEIFU MARU.
The results of JMA quality control are as follows.
  • Grounded test
  • Error data: 0 of 569

  • Position on land test
  • On land: 0 of 26

    Invalid position: 0 of 26

  • Regional range test
  • Error data (low): 0 of 569

Error data (high): 0 of 569

  • Gradient test
  • Error data: 0 of 569

For details of JMA's quality control procedures, please refer to this page.

Summary of QC

  • QC detected no unnatural profiles.
  • There were differences above 2°C at a depth of about 100 m in the seas around 44°N. The observation data showed sharper thermocline than the assimilation data.
