A total of 107 profiles (47488 data, reported by BATHY or TESAC) were received from the TALLAHASSEE.
The results of JMA quality control are as follows.
  • Grounded test
  • Error data: 0 of 47488

  • Position on land test
  • On land: 0 of 107

    Invalid position: 0 of 107

  • Regional range test
  • Error data (low): 0 of 47488

Error data (high): 3 of 47488

  • Gradient test
  • Error data: 2 of 47488

For details of JMA's quality control procedures, please refer to this page.

Summary of QC

  • QC detected some unnatural profiles shown in 'Results of QC'.
  • One of the observations at around 24°N, 178°W was considered to be erroneous data.
  • At the depths between 100 m and 200 m in the seas east of the International Date Line, there were differences above 2°C between observation data and the results of assimilation.
