Results of QC

A total of 250 profiles (190624 data, reported by BATHY or TESAC) were received from the ANL WARRNAMBOOL.
The results of JMA quality control are as follows.
  • Grounded test
  • Error data: 0 of 190624

  • Position on land test
  • On land: 0 of 250

    Invalid position: 0 of 250

  • Regional range test
  • Error data (low): 0 of 190624

Error data (high): 0 of 190624

  • Gradient test
  • Error data: 78 of 190624

For details of JMA's quality control procedures, please refer to this page.

Summary of QC

  • QC detected some unnatural profiles shown in 'Results of QC'.
  • At the depths between 80 m and 100 m in the seas around 10°N, there were differences above 2°C between observation data and the results of assimilation. The observation data showed sharper thermocline than the assimilation data.
