About Global Warming Projection
JMA's Meteorological Research Institute (MRI) has developed the Coupled
atmosphere-ocean General Circulation Model (MRI-CGCM), one of
the most advanced climate models in the world. It is operated to predict
future climate change based on various scenarios for atmospheric concentrations of
greenhouse gases. MRI has also developed regional models to calculate more
detailed climate change around Japan.
This page contains the results projected using these models in order to assess
the effects of global warming on the climate.
