Training Seminar on Primary Modes of Global Climate Variability and Regional Climate

Dates

14-18 November 2016

Venue

Headquarters of JMA, Tokyo, Japan

Objectives

To understand the basic concepts of climate dynamics, primary modes of variability and teleconnection.
To find a statistical relationship between primary modes of variability (e.g. El Niño and La Niña) and their country's local climate.
To give a causal explanation of the identified statistical relationship.
To become a skilled user of a climate analysis tool "iTacs"
