Attendance Registration

Advance registration is required for conference attendance and participation in its discussions. This applies to all delegates, including those who have already registered in response to the first announcement. Please note that on-site registration is not possible.

To register, please download the MS Word form and send the completed version to the Local Organizing Committee (LOC).

Attendance at the training events on 9 (Mon.) and 13 (Fri.) November is exclusive to invited officials from National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) and lecturers. The same restriction applies to the 3rd meeting of the Coordinating Group of the RA II WIGOS Project on 14 (Sat.) November.

The deadline for registration is 25 September, 2015.

There is no fee for conference registration/attendance.

Visa Support

Those requiring a visa to visit Japan should download the MS Word form and send the completed version with a copy of their passport photo page to the Local Organizing Committee (LOC).

Applicants must provide a copy of their passport photo page to enable confirmation of the details provided on application forms and to ensure that the documentation process advances smoothly without errors.

The deadline for visa application is 25 September, 2015.

Please send the form and passport copy as soon as possible to reduce the likelihood of visa issues.

Accommodation

Accommodation must be arranged by attendees at their own expense. Hotels around Shimbashi (also called "Shinbashi") Station provide convenient access to the venues. This is a major railway hub that connects to the JR Yamanote Line, the Yurikamome Line and some Tokyo Metro lines. Individual hotels can provide information on availability and rates.

From Narita International Airport to central Tokyo

Registration desk

The registration desk at the conference venue will open at 8:30 a.m. from 9 (Mon.) to 14 (Sat.) November.

Posters

Posters will be displayed from 10 (Tue.) to 12 (Thu.) November, and poster session core times will be on 11 (Wed.) November. The maximum poster size is A0 (1,189 mm in height x 841 mm in width). Materials for affixing posters will be supplied.

Language

The official language of the conference is English. No interpretation services will be provided.

Wireless Internet access will be available at the conference venue.
