PACIFIC TRIANGLE(ELXS8), PX11
Observation period : 2013/3/26 to 2013/4/3

This page shows results for the PX11 line based on monitoring by the PACIFIC TRIANGLE and comparison with the result of assimilation by MOVE-NP.

Results of QC

A total of 44 profiles (1409 data, reported by BATHY or TESAC) were received from the PACIFIC TRIANGLE.
The results of JMA quality control are as follows.
  • Grounded test
  • Error data: 0 of 1409

  • Position on land test
  • On land: 0 of 44

    Invalid position: 0 of 44

  • Regional range test
  • Error data (low): 0 of 1409

Error data (high): 0 of 1409

  • Gradient test
  • Error data: 0 of 1409

For datails of JMA's quality control procedures, please refer to this page.

Summary of QC

  • No errors were detected with JMA's quality control procedures.
  • There was no significant bias in comparison with the results of assimilation by JMA.
  • There were differences above 2°C between observation data and the results of assimilation at around 2°S at a depth of around 100 m. It's considered to be an erroneous profile.
