Results of QC

A total of 30 profiles (988 data, reported by BATHY or TESAC) were received from the PACIFIC TRIANGLE.
The results of JMA quality control are as follows.
  • Grounded test
  • Error data: 0 of 988

  • Position on land test
  • On land: 0 of 30

    Invalid position: 0 of 30

  • Regional range test
  • Error data (low): 0 of 988

Error data (high): 0 of 988

  • Gradient test
  • Error data: 0 of 988

For datails of JMA's quality control procedures, please refer to this page.

Summary of QC

  • No errors were detected with JMA's quality control procedures.
  • There were differences above 2°C between the results of assimilation and a profile data observed at around 12°N and 2°S. It's to be noted that the results of assimilation is considered to be less accurate in the marginal seas.
  • There was no significant bias in comparison with the results of assimilation by JMA.
