Summary of QC
- QC detected some unnatural profiles shown in 'Results of QC'.
- Among the data that passed JMA's automated quality control procedures, some "hitting bottom" data are found in the seas around Hawaiian Islands(Refer to concerned figures) and the seas around Izu ridge (Refer to concerned figures). The topography used our grounded test is too rough to catch the error.
- There were large differences between observation data and the results of assimilation in the sea around Honshu (near 140°E) due to the Kuroshio current.
