A total of 40 profiles (1288 data, reported by BATHY or TESAC) were received from the NORTHEWEST SANDERLING.

Summary of QC

QC detected some unnatural profiles shown in 'Results of QC'.
There were large differences at depths of between 50 and 300 m. The observation data showed sharper thermocline better than the assimilation data.
With the exception of the above differences, there were no significant biases in comparison with the results of assimilation by JMA.
