Results of QC

A total of 13 profiles (442 data, reported by BATHY or TESAC) were received from the NORTHEWEST SANDERLING.
The results of JMA quality control are as follows.
  • Grounded test
  • Error data: 0 of 442

  • Position on land test
  • On land: 0 of 13

    Invalid position: 0 of 13

  • Regional range test
  • Error data (low): 0 of 442

Error data (high): 0 of 442

  • Gradient test
  • Error data: 0 of 442

For details of JMA's quality control procedures, please refer to this page.

Summary of QC

  • QC detected no unnatural profiles.
  • There were large differences at depths of between 50 and 250 m in the seas around 5°N and around 17°N. The observation data showed sharper thermocline than the assimilation data.
