Seasonal Highlights

In eastern and western Japan, seasonal mean temperatures were significantly above normal and the highest on record for boreal autumn since 1946 due to high pressure systems and warm-air inflow. Seasonal sunshine durations were above normal from northern to western Japan. Seasonal precipitation amounts were above normal on the Pacific side of northern and eastern Japan and in Okinawa/Amami.
