The regional average of seasonal precipitation amounts was the lowest on record for autumn since 1946 on the Pacific side of western Japan.
- Seasonal sunshine durations were significantly above normal on the Pacific side of eastern/western Japan, on the Sea of Japan side of western Japan, and in Okinawa/Amami, because high pressure systems frequently covered the regions. The regional average of seasonal sunshine durations were the highest on record for autumn since 1946 on the Pacific side of eastern/western Japan and on the Sea of Japan side of western Japan.
